How Much Does a Tattoo Cost in Antalya?

There is no single standard price for a custom tattoo in Antalya. The cost depends on what is being designed and tattooed: size, detail, style, placement, existing ink and the number of sessions can all change the workload significantly.

What Determines Tattoo Price?

Size and total working time

Larger tattoos normally need more design preparation, stencil planning and tattooing time. A large piece may also need to be divided into multiple sessions rather than treated as one continuous appointment.

Detail and tattoo style

A realistic portrait and a simple graphic tattoo of the same physical size are not equivalent projects. Realism requires careful tonal structure, anatomy, texture and transitions. Color Realism can also add complexity through color selection, layering and saturation control.

Placement on the body

Curved, mobile or difficult-to-access areas may require more design adjustment and slower execution. The same concept can require a different approach on a forearm, shoulder, ribs or chest.

Existing tattoos and cover-up work

Cover-ups are often more demanding because the new design has to work with existing pigment. The artist may need to increase the scale, change the direction of the composition or use stronger dark areas strategically. Read the existing guide to the art of cover-up tattoos for more background.

Why a Price From One Screenshot Can Be Misleading

A reference picture does not show the final size on your body, your anatomy, the condition of the skin or the amount of existing ink. That is why an accurate quote normally requires both the design reference and a photograph of the actual placement area.

What to Send for an Accurate Quote

Send your concept, two or three useful reference images, a clear photo of the body area, approximate dimensions, information about existing tattoos and your preferred dates. For sleeves, also mention whether you want one connected composition or whether existing tattoos need to remain.

Price Should Not Be the Only Comparison

Tattooing is permanent. When comparing artists, consider portfolio consistency, hygiene, design quality, communication, specialization and whether the artist's work matches the style you want. A lower price is not automatically better value if the artist is not the right fit for the project.

Before requesting a quote, review the DaVinciHan portfolio and identify the work closest to your preferred direction.

Frequently Asked Price Questions

Can I get a quote from a reference image?

Usually an estimate becomes much more reliable once size, body placement and any existing tattoo are also known.

Are cover-ups usually more expensive?

They can be because they often require additional design work and may need a larger composition to control the old tattoo.

Do large tattoos need several sessions?

Often yes. Session count depends on size, detail, placement and how the skin responds.

Artist’s Perspective

I do not price a custom tattoo by square centimetres. Two tattoos can be the same size and require completely different levels of drawing, correction, stencil preparation, colour control and session time. The real workload is in the design decisions and execution, not only the dimensions.

What I Check Before I Start

For an accurate estimate I need enough information to understand the project: body placement, approximate size, reference images, skin area and any existing tattoo. A serious quote should reflect the actual project, not a generic price list.

This guide reflects the way I approach real tattoo projects: body placement first, a clear focal point, controlled contrast, tattooable detail and honest technical limits. The goal is a design that works on skin, not just on a screen.
